Gareth Sexton is a forward-thinking professional who’s passionate about the next generation of healthcare, building relationships to support advanced analytics, and technologies bringing high quality medicine to patients faster. He brings over a decade of professional experience in healthcare and pre-clinical safety assessment, skilled in formulations and analytical chemistry, with knowledge of method development, validation, sample analysis for HPLC/UPLC, RP, SEC, and UV spec, among other analytical techniques.

Before joining ProtaGene, Gareth held technical/scientific, laboratory management, and client/account management roles. As an Analytical Chemistry Analyst at Charles River Laboratories, Gareth worked in formulations, focusing on both small and large molecules. He was recognized for his efforts as a key contributor in 2018 and 2019. He also worked as a Formulation Scientist and Analytical Chemistry Supervisor at Alta Sciences and notably optimized workflows and doubled instrumentation and staff. His strong desire to be client-facing led him to a Client Manager role in 2021.

Gareth holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada, where he researched thiamin synthesis in transgenic plants.
